About this dataset

This record contains the replication package for the article “UEFA EURO 2024 and Foreign Guest Nights in German Host Regions: Evidence across accommodation channels”. The study estimates the short-run differential change in tourist guest nights in the ten German NUTS 2 regions containing a UEFA EURO 2024 host city relative to the other German NUTS 2 regions. Monthly Eurostat data for official tourist accommodation and platform-booked short stays are analysed separately by domestic and foreign guest origin.
